happy + birthday: Aunt Heather

Aunt Heather's birthday was July 13th!! Happy Birthday Aunt Heather-MaGeather!!

• Aunt Heather is stylish. She is always knows the new "in" trends and makes sure we stay "in" also. She has great funky and classic taste. 
• Aunt Heather is a shopper. She is so fun to shop with but be prepared: 1.) Shopping with Aunt Heather is like running a marathon. You shop til you drop. 2.) There is no waiting or looking at other stores to compare. If you like it, you MUST get it. There and now. :) I think we went to Fashion Square one year before Christmas and I was amazed how quickly Heather worked. She kept yelling, "Come on! We don't have a lot of time." I looked at my watch. We had like 5 hours. There is no meandering. It's either move on or buy. No coming back. No second guesses. Do not pass GO.
• Aunt Heather is very giving. She can read people well and assess their needs. She is encouraging and loving and knows how to cheer you up. I remember talking to her about guys and she'd say, "Cristine, please! Those guys are idiots. Don't even waste your time." Having someone vent with you is satisfying. Thanks Heather.
• Aunt Heather has glowing skin. It is quite possibly perfect. 
• Aunt Heather loves movies. And she loves to cry in movies. I think she helped instill in me a love for all things Jane Austen and gothic romance. Growing up, we watched movies together all the time. She introduced me to my all-time favorite film, "A Room with a View." She also makes faces in movies when she gets really into it. I notice I do the same things. It's great. 
• Aunt Heather is a motivator. (A forceful one. haha.) When I was a senior in high school she and Donald threw a Christmas Party. I was at home for whatever reason and suddenly got a call from her: "Cristine. Put on something cute and get your butt over here. There is an incredibly hott English guy here. Hurry." I loved it. The drama of the call was more fun than the guy. But I think thats a talent she has. She makes things special and makes you feel special .
• Aunt Heather is wonderful mother and gave me my ultra-cute cousins Sam and Chloe. 
• Aunt Heather is a wonderful aunt. I hung out with her and Donald a lot before they had Sam and Chloe. I always wanted to ride in their car. Listen to the music they listened to. Watch the movies they watched. Do the things they did. She was like an older sister. And I've always looked up to her. She is fun, vivacious and loving! 

I love you Aunt Heather! Thanks for always being a friend as well as an Aunt and always making me feel like I was "cool." :) Happy Happy Birthday!!!
