Hawaii, Part II: Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden

The Big Island (aka Hawaii or Kona) is simply awesome. It's not as populated and that is half the fun. One of my favorite trips we took was to the Tropical Botanical Garden. The moment you step into the Garden (which is a huge, tropical rainforest practically) you think, "Now THIS is Hawaii!"

Towering trees, foliage everywhere, and a gazillion of tropical and strange flowers and plants. Scott was particularly fascinated by the mini-pineapples. At the end of the garden we reached the ocean. One word: stunning. Take your breath away stunning. I loved it. I kept thinking, "I wonder if this is what Adam and Eve felt like in the Garden of Eden!?" haha. I was simply in awe at how beautiful Hawaii is. How beautiful the earth is!

I was cracking up (or maybe perturbed) at how many pictures Scott was taking. Literally every flower in the Garden received its own personal photo shoot. But looking back, I'm glad we have those photos, though they hardly do the scenery and ambience justice, and even though we each felt extremely muggy and hot from all the walking, steep ramps and hiking. It was a wonderful experience and beautiful beyond words.

for some reason, scott and i are glowing in this picture.
maybe we were channeling our inner adam and eve.
