4 months

Every time my Jake does something adorable, something new, something hilarious, I quickly type it into my phone to remember for later. You should see the "Jacob Note" I have on there. Its monumental. Dare I say intimidating. Maybe even heartbreaking, because he is getting just so gosh darn big! (already in 6-9 months clothing!) I tell him to stop but he doesn't listen. He just blows raspberries.

The last month (and a half---I'm a little late) has been full of new developments:

first trip to California!
first time starting rice cereal...he...loved...it. (seriously, he was eating it with a smile on his face.)
first Halloween. (was a wittle Tigger.)
first time watching cartoons. (his face was priceless. totally in the zone. loved it.)
first scream! (high-pitched and random. totally cracks me up.)
and...received 3 shots. (he did so good. but was not a happy camper for the next 24 hours.)

scared of:

Elmo
trains
bottle running out

loves:

passie (as always)
beating his belly like a drum with one hand
bodily-function-sounds
his pigs to be smelled then told, "Phew! Pootinkie!"
talking in the car staring out the window
blowing raspberiies
when we raise his arms high and say, "Big Boy!!"
napping in his crib (thank heavens)
smiling and talking and laughing (which i kinda love too :)
holding my hand in the car/while falling sleeping/while in the swing/while in his crib/anywhere/everywhere (which i also love though it forces me to stay for great lengths of time in awkward positions.)

most frustrating new trick:

Jake can take his passie out of his mouth. Problem is he has yet to figure out how to get it back in. He makes this gamble multiple times a day. It's a frustrating way of life for him.

(does this look like two different kids to you? haha. his faces crack me up.)
