moving day

they'll be here in about 45 minutes. the packers/movers/shakers. and i am stressing. the thought of being without my washer and dryer for up to a week is terrifying. i mean, jakey went through three outfits yesterday. and that was just the day time. during the night he went through two. i've practically been ripping the clothes off my familys' backs just to make sure everything is washed and ready to be packed.

oh boy. my stressed-out nature is not handling this well. i feel so unprepared. and i'm shaking in my future cowgirl boots that the packers will pack something that i need. or that jakey needs. like his pacifiers. oh heaven help us.

scott as usual is taking things easy-peasy. doesn't stress and tells me to "just relax". i hate that phrase.

oh and i just realized i forgot to say WE'RE MOVING TO TENNESSEE! all we are is dust in the wind apparently. Idaho, Florida, Tennessee. we like to shake things up at least once a year and completely rearrange our lives--meet new friends, find new restaurants, enjoy different parts of the country. no big deal.

we visited there last week to find a place to live. which was suuuuupppper stressful. everything we were finding was nasty. and old. and next to junk yards full of shirtless men hauling scrap metal into the back of a pickup. no joke. i knew we had to be looking in the wrong places. eventually someone told us about Algood. So we type "Algood, TN" into the GPS and off we went.

the GPS always takes you to a certain spot so we just followed it, curious to where it was taking us to exactly. the town is quite tiny--like 2,000 people tiny--but only a few minutes to "town" aka Cookeville. it seemed more quiet and nice and so we let the GPS guide us. it takes us to Washington St to the address of a super cute and new looking townhouse. with a "for lease" sign on the yard. wow.

we call the number on the sign and the property manager says, "go right in and take a look. it should be open." luck? hmmm. we'll see. we go in...... gorgeous. seriously. this place blew away anything we had been seeing. i giggled as i ran around like a goof saying, "scott, i love it! i love it! oh my gosh. can we live here!? please!?" i literally was jumping up and down with excitement. what a relief to find a place where i wouldn't have a panic attack if jakey touched the carpet.

it was not luck. that's for sure. Heavenly Father guided us there via GPS. and we are soo thankful.

with home found we took a scenic drive to Burgess Falls and ate some handpicked peaches :)

and now the movers will be here in fifteen minutes. crap. hmm. well, this post was certainly a stress-distraction. but scotts still running around in his undies, the baby needs a new outfit since those diapers are rubbish and don't do their job, there's dishes in the sink that need to be washed, laundry to be folded, outfits to be packed, a kitty to hide since he'll freak when outside people enter his tiny, sheltered world. ok. stressing. really stressing now.
