EASTER

The EASTER BUNNY came!

Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures of Scott and me in our Easter outfits. We attended our new ward for the first time, though. We really enjoyed it. There are a ton of babies. Three babies were blessed yesterday. Everyone was very welcoming and we are excited to get callings soon. The last calling we had was in the Stonebrook Ward. We were stake missionaries to the Spanish Branch. When we moved to the house in Idaho Falls we never got callings. So we are anxious to feel a part of a ward again. It has been hard to transition from a married student ward and we miss our friends in Rexburg. But I think this will be a great ward. Happy Easter everyone!

Mog Time

The Scotsters's back in town....da...dada....the Scotster's back in tow-ow-ow-own.....da.....dada. So after a long 2 week training in SLC for the Verizon merge I am finally back where I don't want to be, Idaho. But I did miss my shmoopie shmoopie. The training was very informative and a bit of fun. I ate at a lot of great places and for free too. I was sure to bring my xbox for the lonely nights too. The hotel people had pity on my since we were going to be there for 2 weeks. Some of the other guys in the group had their stuff moved from one room to another without them knowing, other's got charged for their entire stay on their credit cards when they thought they were only buying a Gatorade. I was lucky and had one of the bigger rooms, a nice house keeper named Maria which left me chocolates and notes every day and no problems. While we were there on the first night we went to the Utah Jazz vs. the New York Knicks. The game was a blowout from the beginning but towards the end the Knicks made a run for it and almost came back for the win. I was of coarse the most annoying fan there cheering for the Knicks simply because they were playing the Jazz. I didn't get any hot dogs or beer spilled on me but that was probably because we were 1 row behind the highest, farthest back row. But you can't complain when the ticket's only cost ya $12. A few nights later we ate at Rodizio's, a Brazilian BBQ joint where they keep the meat a'comin. It's all you can eat with about 12 different meat varieties...simply divine. Another night we went to PI, a local pizzeria where we got a 36" pizza. It was mammoth. All of the grease congregated at the center and you almost wated to take a straw and just slerp it all up.

On Saturday my friend and I went snowboarding at the Canyons for the last time of the season. There were no major injuries so that's always a plus. The rest of the trip was pretty much all business except for another night at Rodizio's where they were serving wild game. They had rattlesnake sausage and buffalo brisket. We were hoping for some alligator but that was not on the menu that night. All in all it was a good trip and I am sure that I will need another reminder when the integration actually happens which won't be for another 4-5 months. When I got back on Friday, Cristine and I just chilled. On Saturday we saw the movie "Knowing" and I have to say it was pretty suspenseful and also really weird. I mean aliens, really? Makes me think about the horrible experience of the latest Indiana Jones movie. For Easter today Cristine had these wonderful baskets set up for the both of us and a jelly bean trail for me to follow. It was pretty intense with a few loop-de-loops. For dinner Cristine made her famous honey-baked ham and cheese potatoes. I made my family's favorite, Fruit Salad. Man were those some good eatins.....We ate until we were both fat and sassy. So pretty much since it was just the two of us we are gonna be eatin ham and cheese potatoes for the next few months but to be honest I really don't mind. So thats everything that has been going on with me lately. Until next time...

I LOVE YOU ALL

Sorry to everyone who has tried to comment on my blog (and facebook) and were told they were not a team member. I promise I love you all.
Scott and I had a bit of a stalker situation a couple weeks ago, and so Scott was trying to protect me. Unfortunately, we forgot to change the settings back.

Everything should be back to normal now. So please...comment. :) Les amo!

Plus...I finally got my new pink blackberry! So call me! :)

WRITER'S BLOCK

For the past two hours I have been sitting and staring at the computer. No good. I have deadlines to meet and inspiration seems to have fled from me screaming.

I played my writer's block song, the Beatles' "Across the Universe."

It serves as a kind of self-reverse-psychology when I'm in a slump. I don't want my words "to just sit a while...and slip away." I don't necessarily aim to "change the world" either, but at least help me change my sitting position! The couch looks so comfy from my seat, and New Moon is just itching to be read.

Something needs to change my world. An idea, a quote, a lesson, an image....SOMETHING.

(if you have no idea what I'm talking about, listen to "Across the Universe" on my playlist.)
