Scott's lifelong friend Kyle Wilkins got married a couple of Saturdays ago in Billings, Montana to the beautiful Julia.

Scott, Hilary Wilkins (Kyle's lil' sis) and I left Idaho Falls/Rexburg thinking it would only be about a 2-3 hour car ride. WRONG! We ended up driving for almost 6 hours. I hate driving in the car. But it was a beautiful car ride I must say. Everything was so green and lush and "country" and it made me want to be Hannah Montana and take my horse Blue Jeans for a ride through some corn fields.
My favorite town that we passed through was Bozeman. If I had to live in Montana I would live there. It was so quaint and pretty but also hip. I think MSU was nearby.
Eventually we made it to Billings. We ate dinner with Julia and Kyle's families then we all headed over to a nearby park for a little softball. All of Julia's fam is way into softball. I think they all played in high school and their dad was their coach.
Initially, the plan was Kyle's family/friends against Julia's. Immediately I thought, "Great. We're going to get creamed." I was wearing sandals. Not good. I'm already horrible at softball without any further impediments. And I definitely can't throw. I throw like a girl. :)
And yes indeed...we got creamed. I usually just stood near Scott in the outfield and took up space. I felt like John Heder in the Benchwarmers. That was the easy part. Later, my team made me be the catcher. No good. Standing in the outfield I never had to come into contact with the ball. As catcher, I HAD to be a part of the game. I took of my sandals so I could run if I needed to, but then that meant I had to stand in the mud behind the batter. So here I was standing in the mud, forced to catch (which I can't do) and throw (which I also can't do). It was quite embarassing.
On one pitch, the ball hit the ground then bounced and slammed into my shin. Ouch. It hurt soooo bad, but I had to suck it up in front of all the tough softball players around me. I ended up with a huge bruise.
Afterwards, Scott and I just hung out, saw a movie, and then headed back to our hotel. The next morning we went to Denny's (which I really hate) and then met everyone at the Billings Temple.
The sealing was very nice and it was fun to see Kyle get married. He is such a great guy and will be the most wonderful father and husband. Julia is one lucky girl. She looked beautiful and we were so glad to be invited to the sealing.

Unfortunately, my camera broke right as the trip started. But I wasn't too bummed. I've had my camera since I started college, and it was way behind in technology. Out with the old, in with the new. So all our pictures from the weekend were taken with Scott's phone. They're not fabulous quality, but oh well.
