At the end of January, Scott and I made a trip to Utah. We stayed the first night with our friends Steve and Jen (newlyweds, and so cute!). Then Scott and Steve went snowboarding at the Canyons the next day. I met up with some of my best buds for a day of female fun! Brittany, Seana, Ashley and I all went to California Pizza Kitchen for lunch and then perused around the mall. We talked Brittany into some fun heels :) and Seana and I both got a scarf.
Then Seana and I looked through some old pics and gabbed about someone special (shhhh!).
WHIT D., BRITTANY, ME, SEANA AND ASHLEY

Then the four of us met up at the movies with Whit D, her friend, and Britt's sister in law. It was hilarious because Seana and I thought we were the late ones so we crept into the dark theatre and took the first seats we could find. A couple minutes later, Whit D crept in. Then another couple minutes later Brittany and Ashley crept in. We ended up being scattered but it was worth it to see everyone creeping around in the dark trying to find one another. haha.
After the movie, I met back up with Scott and we headed over to Robby and Vivian's apartment. We ate dinner at a nearby college hangout, then headed back to their place to play a little poker and watch the Food network. I love the Wilkins! They are so much fun and I wish we lived closer to them.
ANNOUNCEMENT: KYLE WILKINS IS ENGAGED!!!!! YEAH!!!!
The rest of the weekend was spent with my wonderful sister-in-law and her family. They are so kind to let us drop by all the time and stay with them. It's fun to be an aunt!
ME, GRANDMA GG AND SCOTT

On the way home, we stopped in Kaysville (home of the Larkins relatives) to see my Great-Grandma GG. She is now in an assisted living home and wasn't doing so well for a while. We visited with her for about an hour and asked her a bunch of questions of her life growing up. She met my Grandpa GG had a dance in Salt Lake. The way she describes it sounds like its straight out of the beginning of"The Other Side of Heaven." I am so grateful for her. Most especially because she gave me my Grandpa Gary--one of the greatest men I know.
ME AND GRANDMA GG

I'm glad that Scott has been able to get to know her and that he was also able to know my other great grandma--Grandma Getty. She passed away last March. I am so glad that I was the first-born so I could really know my great grandparents and have a personal relationship with them.
When we left Kaysville, we stopped at a Philly Cheesesteak place that we saw from the freeway. HUGE MISTAKE. It tasted good at first, but by the time we reached Idaho Falls we were sick as dogs. It was the first time that I had upchucked in about four years. SICK. I had taken pictures of us eating at the place, but I had to delete them because just looking at myself eating that cheesesteak made me sick. I think I've been scarred from cheesesteaks for life.
The worst part was that I was sick from it up till my birthday. I pretty much lounged around all day on my birthday. When Scott got home, we went and got take out from Olive Garden. This was my birthday outfit. Wasn't it awesome!
THE SICK BIRTHDAY GIRL
(I call this outfit: "I'm sick and freezing my touche off in Idaho. Help me Mom!")
Despite being sick, it was a fun trip and birthday, and we wish that we had more time to go and see our wonderful friends.
