Scott's Turn

So here we are sitting in the Las Vegas airport waiting to board our plane to Philadelphia. As we came in we had a spectacular view of the strip. I have never been to Las Vegas and it was breath-taking to have an aerial view of all of the millions in dollars of lights. Cristine and I want to come here some time and see a show, possibly UFC. We had our faithful dinner at Cafe Rio while we were down in Salt Lake City and found a little frozen yogurt place called "Spoon Me." We are super excited to chow down on some cheese-steaks and some Rita's Water-Ice and most importantly, Tasty Cakes! Cristine calls them "Crusty Cakes." While we are there we will be attending my friend Adam's wedding. Cristine will be out with the bride and bridesmaids on friday getting pampered with manicures and pedicures. Right now she looks like a little kitten that was left out in the rain with her poofy hair, but she is always adorable. We will be sure to update as I'm sure we will have a few stories to tell once this ordeal is over with. Until then...

Here is Cristine's gorgeous cake...looks tasty, eh? Brittany is one lucky girl getting her yellow cake with chocolate frosting and hot pink frosting. Doesn't look like much but mmm...mmm it was good!

First of many...

We have decided to get with the times and begin our blog. We have been married for almost two years now. Cristine is finishing up at BYU-Idaho with a degree in English. She wants to go into professional writing and editing. I am taking classes at Idaho State University pursuing a degree in Accounting. We have been living in Idaho for some time now and live in an apartment complex called Stonebrook. We will be posting pics of our apartment shortly. Cristine is excited because her little sister is also taking classes at BYU-Idaho and lives only a few minutes away. We don't have any children yet and don't plan on having any for another year but then again, ya never know... At the end of the month we will be going back to Philadelphia to attend one of my good friends weddings, Adam Wilson. We will be sure to take lots of pics to post. This summer we will be going to a beach house with Cristine's family in Mission Bay. We are super excited to bum around on a beach. We have been going tanning with Cristine's sister, Brittany, so that we won't burn. Last summer we went to another beach house in Mission Bay, CA for a week and had a great time, however, I don't suggest using the spray on sun block. I sprayed a ton of that stuff on my back, but it would drip and not be spread evenly and I had a sun-burn tattoo. God bless aloe-vera. I have to admit going to a tanning salon has challenged my masculinity. The very first time I went last year, I went by myself and it was the first time I had ever been to a fake-and-bake. The lady that set me up did not explain anything to me and basically pointed me to the room where the deed would be done. I felt extremely awkward asking a woman who I didn't even know her first name if most people tanned naked. Once she replied yes, I went back into the room. I noticed that there were little goofy looking goggles and I thought, there is no way that I'm gonna be caught dead wearing those. So I got in and just closed my eyes, but my curiosity got the best of me and I had to have a look around. When I got home and told Cristine about my experience she freaked out and thought I was going to go blind. You may see a future publication from me entitled, "Tanning for Dummies." Today we are celebrating Brittany's 19th Birthday and Cristine baked her a cake. As you will be able to see from the picture, it certainly won't be winning any beauty contests, but I am sure it tastes absolutely fantastic. That's all for now and as the title says, this will be the first of many posts. Thanks for reading!
